California State University, Northridge is a beautiful campus with countless opportunities to offer. Individuals step onto this campus to better themselves and aspire to be someone in the future. As I approach my last months as a student, I would like to share a few go-to spots students should visit while they're on campus.
1. The turtle pond
A very relaxing place to come and take a walk when you have too much on your mind. You are surrounded by orange trees that fill the air with a fruity scent. Watch out for the ducks, they hang out near the food dispensary because they know they'll get fed.
2. The Oasis at the University Student Union
The Oasis opened Fall 2015 for CSUN students at the USU. It is a place I have come to love. There are sleep pods and patio furniture for students when they need a break from school work. I usually go there to take a 20-30 minute nap when I need a quick energy boost. I applaud everyone who put this place together. Go check it out!
3. Oviatt Lawn Palm Trees
The palm trees create shade for students to lay on the grass when they have down time. I like to sit on the steps and read my notes. During busy times of the semester, you can see many students take advantage of this spot.
4. First floor of the Oviatt Library
When it is too cold to sit outside by the palm trees, walk inside the library and have a seat in one of these. You can feel the tension of students cramming to pass their classes. However, the first floor is of the Oviatt is also the nosiest, so if you can't study with noise in the background, I suggest going up a level.
5. The Pub Sports Grill
Do you like burgers? Do you like sports? Do you like beer? If you said yes to all three, The Pub is the place for you! For students who are die hard sports fans, the Pub Sports Grill on campus is their go-to spot. I usually come into the Pub to get ketchup or a fork and this place is always buzzing with busy students. You can enjoy a soccer game while doing your homework, eating and sipping on a cold brew at the same time.
One last thing you can keep in mind:
