Summertime is here and body image obsession. So many of us have issues with our bodies, it doesn't matter how fit we are or not we have something that we don't like and wish we could change or get rid of. I am one of those people. I am 35, have three kids 9-5 and 1 1/2.
I have gained and lost weight. I don't like what I see in the mirror somedays and I really don't like how clothes fit. I know I'm not alone in this. I have " Diastasis Recti" which is abdominal separation, and because of that my stomach still sticks out and people think I'm pregnant.
Now some people don't think I should be worrying about my weight since I weigh 115 pounds, and although that may not seem like a lot to some people, I am only 4'9" so that looks like a lot to me and my doctors. I've been trying to love myself more and not worry about what the scale says and just like how I look in clothes and how they make me feel.
Somedays are better than others and I like the way I look and feel, There are things I have been doing that have helped me feel a little better about myself, I have been eating a lot better and even started "Keto" with my husband and I have lost a total of 12 pounds so far I know that's not a whole lot but I have seen a difference.
Working hard and watching what you eat is the best way to get where you want to be with your body goals, don't look at all these celebrities that have personal chefs and trainers plus have a tone of money to get a lot of work done that is not natural.
We will never have the body they have we have our own and they are all different shapes and sizes, there are so many images you will see of very unrealistic body types that people strive to have and that goes for men and women. Men struggle just as much as we do, they may not say it but they do.
No one is perfect, not even your favorite movie/tv star, favorite musical artist, these people are photoshopped so much in magazines and in all photos, they use filters on every photo they post, so why strive for that when it's not real?
We need to have our own goals look at our bodies and write down what we want to lose/gain and go from there, keep a workout and food journal, watch what you eat and workout.
Body positivity is something that we all need, but we also need to stop looking at images of people that have completely different bodies than our own. People should not strive to be too thin or too big, being anorexic and obese are both unhealthy.
Have a healthier lifestyle. You can get good fresh foods pretty cheap, not all veggies and fruits are expensive you can eat healthy on a budget. So we need to stop making excuses about eating healthy when there are affordable good fresh foods out there that won't break the bank.
We are all beautiful no matter what. Just because we don't have the body that we want right now doesn't mean we won't have it. Working out can be easy as well, you don't have to have a gym membership to workout, go for a walk 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes, get some exercise bands and kettlebells for home workouts.
I may have some extra skin and weight, but you know what I grew three humans for 9 months, so I think my body is pretty incredible. Just like Yours.
