"Blue is a BOYS color." "Pink is such a girly color!" "Girls can't play video games." "You can not do this with us, it is a guy thing." "Girls can only wear nail polish." "Don't swear, it is not very ladylike."

These are all comments that women hear daily. I think women get annoyed. It's because we are in a modern 20th-century society and people are STILL telling us that certain things are meant for a man to do, and certain things are meant for women.

We see it all the time, don't we? I mean practically from birth with the idea that "pink" is a girl color and "blue" is a boy color.

So, the fact of the matter is that the idea of "pink" vs "blue" was actually brought into play by Hitler. Hank Green says that it totally used to be reversed, but then Hitler wanted gays to wear pink triangles so that they could be told apart from the rest of society. America!

There are also multiple accounts though that say that babies used to wear white when they were born and dresses. A theory suggests that a magazine started printing that girls colors were pink and boys were blues. Here's one:

So women can thank the media for that idea, or Hitler. Either way, we are listening to extremely outdated messages.

" Sports are for boys." "Carpentry is for boys." "Engineering is totally a guy thing." "Hunting is for boys."

Don't you just get sick of the voices?

The fact is that woman have been allowing these things to be said since Hitler's time. However, the fact is that, at least during Hitler's time, it was caused by fear, but now it's the 20th century.

When will we draw the line?

Why do women always have to be "pretty" or "sexy"? I mean, seriously. Children pageants are even becoming more "sexy" now... yuck! This video talks about the sexualization of woman.

Young people are growing up in a culture that's surrounded by image! They have this image of what a woman is supposed to be. They have access at the age of 10 to pornography (which is disturbing) and some parents even encourage them to watch it!

I mean just LOOK at THIS picture I found on the internet!

So, men can sexualize us and that's okay, but let's move on and talk about another subject... the fact that women are still being told we should stay at home with the baby!

Why was it during World War II that men were okay with women working and doing "men" jobs, but now they aren't? Remember these posters?

Women now have been working for about a decade, and I mean today we are STILL fighting over payment. Women are not paid as much as a man is paid in the office and that is a FACT. Men are essentially more valuable to corporate companies.

I mean, America can't even allow a woman to be president, never-mind allow her not to be sexualized.

Sure, we are seeing some great female role models, like "Katniss Everdeen," who are displayed as strong females, but when are things going to change?

When will we accept that women can be engineers, bankers, doctors, lawyers, and politicians?

When will we accept that woman can play video games, work in the army, or even allow the father to be a stay at home dad?

I would love to hear some feedback from people so please comment your thoughts! When is enough REALLY going to be enough?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
