To the Boy who Cheated

Contrary to what the title may imply, this article will not be an all out bashing session to the boy(s) who did me wrong, so if that is what you were hoping for, sorry! I know there are many of us who have been cheated on, stomped on, and downright played, but after all the tears and all night movie and ice cream sessions, there is another way to handle the little two timer. That is, if you are willing to keep an open mind and an open heart. Maybe I am a hopeless case when it comes to having a backbone, but I have recently come to the realization that I wish something different for the boy who played me rather than that he would simply walk off a cliff and plummet to his death… too much? I want us revenge seekers to step back and think “maybe I can turn this into something positive, and just hope and pray that Jesus enters the life of those who need a little more of Him.” *Cough, cheaters, cough cough*

To the boy who cheated, please know that this is not me in any way condoning what you did. I just want to simply ask you to please not do this to another girl. Stop breaking hearts to pass time. I understand the whole “sew your wild oats while you’re young” thing, but not all of us twenty somethings believe in that sort of lifestyle. All that I am asking is if your desire is to have flings here and there, please communicate and make sure that is what the other person wants too.

To the boy who cheated, please don’t show a girl love, let her give you her heart, and then cheat on her in return. When it comes down to it, you obviously didn’t want the relationship to begin with if that is how you’re going to behave. If you aren’t happy in the relationship you are in or simply just want to be single and free, then please end the relationship first before you start exercising the freedom that you don’t have.

To the boy who cheated, all I want for you is to turn into the God fearing man that every girl dreams of. All I want for you is to find the girl that was made for you and realize that you don’t need anymore flings. To the boy who cheated, stop thinking that I miss you or care about you because this article in no way should give you that impression. I want you to know that I have found love and happiness in a man who pursues me every day. I have found a man that loves me for who I am and helps me to be a better me instead of trying to change and morph me into something I am not. I have found a man who seeks Jesus first. To the boy who cheated, I found a man.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
