Bottle It All Up, No One Cares

Feelings are for the weak. Just keep it to yourself.

Feelings are ridiculous. It's 2017, why do people still express things? It's so overrated to be passionate. Emotions are for the weak and there's very little evidence that sharing your feelings helps you in the first place.

People overshare so much of their lives on social media and they create these personas that are completely different than who they are in real life. They act like they don't care. Who cares about what you feel?

But it's 2017--so please stop being afraid of expressing how you feel. If you love something or someone, don't be afraid to scream it to the heavens.

Stop worrying so much about what others think of you. Stop worrying about whether or not you're pleasing others. Stop comparing yourself to others. People do things at different paces and everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Do what you love and do everything with love. As long as you enjoy what you do, forget about what everyone else thinks about your life.

You're the one in charge of your own life. (And with God's assistance, you can do most anything.) Don't do things because other people want you to do something or force you in that direction--I've been blessed with a family that has supported my endeavor in pursuing a degree in Psychology.

It makes me sad to think that people aren't able to follow their dreams because they are restricted by themselves or someone else that won't support their aspirations. But honestly...do what you want. Follow your hopes and dreams.

If you love something, don't be afraid to love it. I love my family and my friends. I love music. I love cats. I love the color blue. I love cotton candy colored skies. I love California. I love people-watching, and I love babies. I love art and the good vibes. I think everyone knows how passionate I am about advocating for mental health. I'm not afraid to say I love so many things.

Moreover, if you are upset, you're allowed to feel that! Your feelings are beyond valid! Feel the sadness. Let it overwhelm you. Cry. Grab a blankie, a tub of icecream, and your favorite movie to sob to. Have a nice cleansing sob.

Additionally, if you get angry, feel it, but don't let that completely ruin your mood. Anger is allowed, but remind yourself of the beauty in the world.

My favorite feeling is to be overwhelmed by is gratitude, although sometimes I get angry or upset with Him, I am always grateful for everything breath that I take. I met someone (@Natalia) that said she felt grateful for when the sun shines and you can feel the warmth on your skin, although it can get real hot in Florida. There are so many little things to be grateful about, like the slight snore of a pet and the head tilt of a pupper when you're talking to him. Or, exploring a new place with your best friend or a lunch with one to a place with great bops.

Be grateful and live a beautiful life.

Life is a beautiful and precious thing, and I don't want to waste the only one that I have.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
