Books are awesome hands down. They are filled with creativeness or knowledge-- whichever you prefer. It is like they are a gateway to another place, a vacation you can take without leaving home, or a journey through time. Books are magical things that help get rid of stress, make someone feel comfortable. They are good for a night of relaxing or a good read before bed. Some books may belong to a series, but that makes them a tad bit more interesting.

1.Stephen King, "It"

Stephen King is the king of horror, suspense, and creepiness. His books will have you up at night wondering what is lurking at night. "It" is one of Kings's scarier books that have had movies made to them. Yes, some of his other books had movies but none were as big as "It".

2. Lisa Jackson, "Without Mercy"

Lisa Jackson's book "Without Mercy" is a book that will leave any reader guessing. It is a murder mystery book with many plot twist. It is about a sister who has to be sent to a squeaky clean rehab center but her older sister thinks something is up with the place and tries to figure out what is not so squeaky clean with this murderous rehab facility.

3. Nora Roberts, "The Obsession"

Nora Roberts is a writer who is very descriptive. Her books are well made and very interesting. They grab the readers attention and make anyone want to keep reading. The book itself is structured very well. It is about a girls dad and how things he has done hunts her.

4. CJ Omololu, "The Third Twin"

When two sisters, Ava and Lexi, get in trouble as kids they blame it on a nonexistent third sister Alicia. When they got older they used Alicia for dates and then suddenly a boy has been found dead. Only thing is everything leads back to Alicia the nonexistent third sister. So the girls have to get one to admit the murder or Alicia is real.

5. S.E Green, "Killer Instinct"

A teenage girl named Lane studies serial killers to find out what drives them. When a killer comes in her town and kills a teacher it takes Lanes' interest and she ends up getting involved with the case. She has to find out who the killer is before another person comes up dead.

6. Agatha Christie, "And Then There Were None"

A group of 10 strangers stayed on an island for a getaway in which they never met the owner. The owner was a millionaire looking for a fun game. Each person has a past, and each person has a secret. One by one each person fell prey and were killed.

7. J.D. Robb, "Naked in Death"

While working a murder case detective Eve starts to fall for a suspect in the investigation. He is an Irish Billionaire. Against all her training and going against her instincts she can't stay away. All she wants is him and she is willing to take the chance to be in the arms of man she knows nothing about.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
