First impressions are the most important defining factor of your attitude towards someone. We say that we are not judgmental; yet, in 20 seconds have our opinion made-up about someone. Hair color is a physical characteristic which draws much controversy.
The timeless debate between blondes and brunettes being different, is more than just a myth. Blonde hair is different than brunette hair in countless senses.Through my years as a blonde, I can vouch that my hair reacts differently than the brunette hair on my friends. There are many situations that we blondes, as a community, can bond over. Here is a list of my top 20 things all blondes can relate to:
1. Viewing fake blondes in a different category
2. Knowing all of the different shades of blonde from Golden Walnut to Swedish

3. Being the only blonde in your friend group

4. Realizing stereotypes about you are created, good and bad.

5. Knowing dumb blonde jokes are just that, dumb

6. Dressing up as your favorite Disney characters for Halloween (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Elsa, Rapunzel, Alice, Tinkerbell)

7. Having Legally Blonde as your favorite movie

8. Growing up obsessed with famous blondes

9. Being subject to nicknames: Goldilocks, Barbie, Cinderella, Buttercup

10. Discovering green hair from all of the pool chlorine during the summer

11. Becoming offended by how dark your hair turns in the winter

12. Wanting to try darker hair but you wouldn’t dare join the dark-side

13. Finding ways to brighten your blonde

14. Using Sun-In and lemon juice to help lighten things up

15. Being told you resemble other blondes yet, the only shared characteristic is hair color

16. Shaving your legs/arms less because the hair is white

17. Getting away with messy eyebrows because you have to fill them in anyways

18. Shampooing your hair less because the oil is more hidden

19. Being asked who in your family your blonde gene from

20. Making the statement “blondes have more fun” a reality
