Blair Waldorf Leading Our Lives In 15 Ways

Queen B's words and actions will forever be gospel and explain our struggles effortlessly.

Blair Waldorf Leading Our Lives In 15 Ways

"Gossip Girl" is an iconic teen/ young adult show that was on the CW from 2007-2012 and for those glorious years -- or constantly binge-watching on Netflix -- we got to watch Blair, Serena, Nate, Chuck, Dan and others rule the Upper East Side. Although Serena van der Woodsen -- uh, hello, Blake Lively is basically life goals --
holds a special place in all of our hearts, my true spirit animal is Blair Waldorf. So, here's to the Queen B (get it, B, OK sorry not funny) of the Upper East Side expressing all our college struggles through simple looks and sassy comebacks.

1. When your friend is really upset because the guy she liked turned out to be a jerk.

2. When you're friend zoned and it's just like, what?

3. When you answer a question right in the class you're basically failing.

4. Going to a closed party and random people think you can get them in.

5. Struggling through the pressure of second semester because you set the bar to high -- or to low -- first semester.

6. ...and Netflix, pizza, my pet, free tuition and yeah that's good to start with.

7. When your boyfriend won't hang out with you because you're on your period and being a bitch.

8. 10 a.m. on a Saturday morning, 'nuff said.

9. Receiving that text or phone call from your parents asking how your grades are.

10. When the Wi-Fi cuts out again, for the fifth time, and you just stop trying.

11. Actually opening your notes and, gasp,
textbook to study because you know what? An A is totally achievable.

12. Eating junk food and your roommate declares she's going to the gym, works out for a hour, and you're still eating.

13. Life after midterms.

14. French toast sticks, chocolate milk and tater tots all fresh and fully stocked at the same time.

15. Seeing the dining hall options even though they are generally the same and still disgusting.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
