Location – Black Tap

Black Tap is typically known for their burgers, however, this summer the craze of the overly decorated milkshakes that was all over social media. It is also the new restaurant everyone wants to try. People will wait over an hour just to try these milkshakes. So my friends and I decided to go to Black Tap but on a not-so-busy day. I wanted to avoid going to Black Tap on the weekend, knowing it would be packed. So we decided to go on a Tuesday around 5 P.M. Black Tap have several locations in New York City. We decided to go to the one on 14th Street.

We waited in line outside for about 15 minutes. Getting inside Black Tap, there is a bar, booths, and tall tables and chairs. Getting deeper into the restaurant, there are booths up against the wall, and tables in the middle. The lights were very dim but the atmosphere was lively. We were ready to see what all the hype was about. We decided to go with the basics of just ordering fries and a milkshake. So I decided to make a pros and cons list of my overall experience.

Pros:

1) Fries were AMAZING. This is coming from a person is obsessed with fries and orders them with all meals.

2) Milkshakes were Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and just overall social media worthy. They were almost too pretty to eat/drink.

3) The line only took 15 minutes. We did go on a Tuesday around 5 P.M.

4) Service was fast. They took our order fast, and brought our food in a timely manner.

5) I did not feel odd taking 100 pictures of my food, as the whole restaurant was.

Cons:

1) Honestly, the milkshakes were not that great. The milkshakes were pretty, but the overall taste was not that great. I feel like I have had better milkshakes from fast-food places.

2) Service was fast, but also not too great. They took away our fries and we were not even done with them.

3) My friends and I had to share a table with other customers. The restaurant is big enough to space out the tables. It felt awkward to sit next to a family when we’re just trying to have a girls’ day out.

4)There were only 3 specialty milkshakes. Black Tap does not serve all the milkshakes that they shared all over social media. My friends and I came to Black Tap ready to order different types of milkshakes. However, we were disappointed when there was only three milkshakes listed.

The overall experience of Black Tap was not that bad. Although the milkshakes are very appealing, it is a bit over hyped. The milkshakes themselves are not the best tasting.

I would say my favorite thing about Black Tap is family and friends getting together and just seeing how happy they get when their milkshake arrives.

Even though I did not enjoy the milkshakes, I would like to go to Black Tap again just to try their burgers, which smelled and looked delicious.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
