Letter to my BFF on her Birthday!

Hey, you there My Sunshine!

I hope your birthday went super amazing with loads of cakes to cut and many gifts!!! It is your birthday, and I do not know where to start. There are so many things I'd like to say to you that I literally could not fit into this note. So let me start by saying the most obvious thing: You are THE best.

I have been the luckiest to have such a lovely person like you in my life whom I can call my best friend without any second thought. You know me better than probably I do and no distance can ruin the bond that we share. I love how easy it is to feel at home & safe with you by my side.
Now let me start with a small token of my gratitude for being by my side this whole time and making it all worthwhile.
Thank you for always sticking with me, I know at some times, it is very hard to keep up with me, but you always did. You always tell me what should I actually do and how should I actually act. Thank you for being a strong person that I inspire much. Thank you for being the one who I can always rely on. Thank you for always sharing your story and listening to mine as well.
I just want to thank you for being such an amazing person. Thank you for being you and for letting me be me.
It has been only a year since I met you. That sounds so crazy to admit, right?! I do not really know what makes us close, but whatever the reason is, I am so thankful that you are part of my life and always want you to be.
I would always treasure the time spent with you. I really miss our 1 AM momos and Ice cream, late night gossips and fun at Drunken Monkey, our cute little mini-dates, Self-pampering Sundays, Dancing our heart out to Mere Saiyaan Ji se maine BREAKUP KAR LIA, Silent Terrace nights, twinning with you, and whatnot.
Not only you are the best ear, the best supporter, but you're also my perfect fit for the most important reason: You don't judge me even when I crack the lamest MONICA'S JOKES, and trust me, I love you for that.
Well, you and I do not know yet where this next year will take us, but I hope wherever it will be, we can always share our stories together and stay what we are.
Today, you fulfill one more year of life. I am wishing you full of happiness and love. More opportunities & chances will come and develop the better self you. Never feel that you are alone, I am just a call away. Of course, I hope you have a great year ahead and good health. Surround by people that appreciate you as much as you do to feel the good in return. I wish that you will be known as the person you wanted to be.
You are a person that can make everybody comfortable and in love with you. You are kindhearted, humble, cheerful, loyal, and….duh, I can't mention your amazing personality one by one. Your attitude makes your surroundings feel good. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I am so thankful for your life. Thank you for being you, babe. You are my person. Happy birthday to you, special girl.
I Love You

Keep Shining

With Love,

Monica

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
