1. Chris Brown W/ Omarion, Kid Ink, French Montana, Fetty Wap, & Teyana Taylor / September 1st / Oak Mountain Amphitheater


If you're a huge Hip-Hop and R&B fan, trust me, you do not want to miss this show. Chris Brown is on his One Hell of a Nite tour, featuring the smooth vocals of Omarion, the hot flows of Kid Ink, French Montana, and my personal favorite newcomer, Fetty Wap, as well as Teyana Taylor representing the females.

2. Lady Antebellum with Hunter Hayes & Sam Hunt / September 3rd / Oak Mountain Amphitheater


Currently on their fourth tour and promoting their sixth studio album, country music trio Lady Antebellum will be visiting Birmingham on September 3 at The Oak Mountain Amphitheater with country music guests Hunter Hayes and Birmingham's very own Sam Hunt! A perfect Thursday show to spend with friends!

3. Purity Ring / September 9th / Iron City


If you haven't heard of this Canadian duo yet, you must. Purity Ring is an electronic duo who feature live drums and piano that trigger a lights show to produce the coolest live background effects EVER. If you're into chill electro pop, this is definitely the show for you.

4. Earl Sweatshirt / September 11th / Iron City

As one of the leading men in Odd Future, L.A. based rapper Earl Sweatshirt will be making his Birmingham debut soon with opening act, Remy Banks! If you love sick flows, R&B-influenced hip-hop beats, and the West Coast, you should check him out this fall at Iron City (and if you get there early enough, definitely get close to the stage. Earl is an amazing performer!).

5. Yelawolf / September 16th / Zydeco

If you're into hardcore rap, definitely check out Yelawolf at Zydeco with special guests Rittz! Originally from England, Grammy-nominated alt-J are pretty much on everyone's Spotify playlist these days. If you like indie-rock with a hint of electronic synths, this show is a must-see for one of the nights where you just want to chill.

A native of South Carolina, Chaz Bundick is the mastermind behind projects like Toro y Moi and Les Sins. Toro y Moi is his original project that created a new genre of music called "chill wave."
