Maybe it is just some southerners being dramatic about some rain, but Atlanta's bipolar weather system has been a conversation starter this past week. Even though the majority of fall in Georgia has ideal weather, 70 degrees and sunny, once it drops below 55 degrees with some rain, the heavy layers come out. Here are some pictures of the "dramatic" changes in weather this past week in Atlanta:
Following a weekend with that ideal autumn weather like most are used to, Monday's forecast put me into shock with the constant rain and a 10-degree drop in temperature.
Tuesday continued with rain and added wind, and I continued overreacting by wearing wool socks, a thick long sleeve shirt, a down vest, and a rain jacket to top it off.
Walking to class on Wednesday morning seemed as if it would be a repeat of the past two days, but midday, I saw the sun for the first time in a month–okay, well actually only three days.
Thursday got back to that clear sky and warm sun, and I think I heard a collective happy sigh from anyone living inside the perimeter.
Then, Friday comes along and wow...low humidity and a comfortable temperature are a great way to start the weekend and the perfect way to make me stop complaining.
