I recently discovered Derry Girls while waiting on my next class. I had one of those annoying college semesters where my classes were spaced out, but not enough to merit losing a coveted parking space on campus. So, I did what any normal college senior would do, I'd work on homework and watch Netflix shows. Derry Girls ended up being a happy little accident I finished in two weeks, so Netflix, I need you to get to work on the next season, please and thank you.
1. Saoirse-Monica Jackson's facial expressions
Her face is a canvas for hilarity and she can contort it in an infinite number of ways, it's scientifically proven.
2. Sister Michael is a whole mood.
"If anyone is feeling anxious, worried, or just want a chat, please, please do not come crying to me."
3. The accents are so entertaining.
Have you ever heard a Scottish accent? They've got to be one of the best accents for comedies I've ever heard.
4. James is absolutely adorable.
He's got a precious English accent and spends most of his first appearance on the show looking for a bathroom.
5. Clare's Epic Meltdowns are so relatable.
Every crisis the girls face, Clare is always the first one to overthink, and completely blow the whole ordeal out of proportion, and honestly... same.
