Its that time of the semester. The temperature is going up and motivation is going down. Here is a list of binge-worthy shows to occupy your time when you should be doing something productive.

1. "Riverdale"

"Fear. It's the most basic, the most human emotion. As kids, we're afraid of everything. The dark. The boogeyman under the bed. And we pray for morning. For the monsters to go away. Though they never do. Not really."

2. "The Santa Clarita Diet"

“If life has taught me anything it’s that human emotion is all about fairness.”— Eric

“I had such a good day at the asylum.”— Joe

3. "Grey's Anatomy"

"Don't let what he wants eclipse what you need. He's very dreamy, but he's not the sun. You are."

"It doesn't matter how tough we are. Trauma always leaves a scar. It follows us home, it changes our lives. Trauma messes everybody up. But maybe that's the point. All the pain and the fear and the crap. Maybe going through all that is what keeps us moving forward. It's what pushes us. Maybe we have to get a little messed up before we can step up."

4. "The Vampire Diaries"

“I’m still mad at you because being around you drives me nuts and not being around you drives me nuts.”

“There is no such thing as bad ideas. Just poorly executed awesome ideas.”

5. "Hart of Dixie"

"Like my daddy used to say, 'If enough people tell you that you’re drunk, sometimes it’s a good idea to lie down."

6. "The 100"

“That was the thing about secrets-you had to carry them with you forever, no matter what the cost.”

7. "Jane the Virgin"

"It's just hard to give up on the idea that something perfect might not have been perfect for everyone."

8. "13 Reasons Why"

“No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet we push it just the same.”

“I wanted people to trust me, despite anything they'd heard. And more than that, I wanted them to know me. Not the stuff they thought they knew about me. No, the real me. I wanted them to get past the rumors. To see beyond the relationships I once had, or maybe still had but that they didn't agree with.”

9. "The Good Place"

"I mean, I wasn't freaking Gandhi, but I was okay. I was a medium person."

"It's a rare occurrence, like a double rainbow. Or like someone on the Internet saying, "You know what? You've convinced me I was wrong.""

10. "Black Mirror"

"I mean, I tried sometimes to expand our range a little and talk about climate change, but she found that kind of boring so - Go on. She was probably right. I mean, fuck the planet, right?"

11. "Sherlock"

"How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"

12. "Parks and Recreation"

"Ovaries before brovaries"

"One time I accidentally drank an entire bottle of vinegar. I thought it was terrible wine."

13. "The Office"

"I don't talk trash, I talk smack. They're totally different."

"I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious."

These are only some of my favorites. I'm sure I mentioned a few of yours as well. Only a few more weeks left to go! We can do it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
