Tis the season to not want to put real clothes on, get out of bed, or be a real adult. With the holiday season comes a break from college, a well-deserved one I might add. And with this break comes the beauty of limited responsibility, and lots and lots of Netflix time. So what do I binge watch during the holidays? Let’s take a look.
1. Scandal
There is nothing quite like a show about a powerful woman who doesn’t take anyone’s bull crap. "Scandal" is a masterpiece about a strong-willed, independent woman who spends her life fixing other people’s problems, all while having an affair with the married President. Super exciting and such a rush.
2. Sons of Anarchy

"Sons of Anarchy" probably has one of the best-looking casts television can offer, if you like bad*ss biker men. Besides the views of some pretty hot men and the stunning females, the story of Sam Crow can keep you hypnotized for weeks.
3. House of Cards
For some strange reason, I’m extremely attracted to political series, probably because I’m a political science double major. Nevertheless, "House of Cards" provides viewers with an interesting take on what it's like to be one of Washington’s big shots. Plus the Underwood’s are pure relationship goals, minus the scandalous cheating.
4. American Horror Story
You knew this was coming. After all, this show is pure genius. With time the series become more and more enticing and before you know it you’re skipping out on dinner to finish an episode. Asylum was my favorite, and always will be.
5. Orange is the New Black
Pretty Princess Piper and her journey through prison is so much fun to watch. I mean, all she did was carry a suitcase full of drug money across the Atlantic, does she really deserve to spend her twenties caged up with a protesting nun and stalking Italian?
6. How to Get Away with Murder
Again, I circle back to strong females, not taking any crap. Except this one comes with a really cool twist… her husband is a cheating murderer who her law students kill in self-defense. Such an amazing series.
7. Scrubs
On a lighter note, Scrubs is an oldie but a goody. It's light-hearted, funny, and pretty short. There isn’t anything overly intense about the plot or the characters, which makes it easier to follow and in some cases more tolerable than other series.
8. Friends
Did you honestly think I was going to leave this off the list? If you don’t binge watch Friends are you even human? The theme song is catchy and upbeat, the actors are classic, and the sitcom feel is so relaxing. I’ve seen this show a hundred times over and I still can’t get enough.
So there it is, my laundry list of amazing Netflix binge watches that help me get through the holiday break. Hopefully, you guys can relate to my love for strong female characters and crazy plot twists. And if you haven’t seen some of these, you need to get yourself together and check them out, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
