Country Music Is, And Always Has Been, The Best Music
Tori Crowley

Country music is genuine and portrays real stories about Americans. Artists sing about the relationships they have had and how everyone wants to have the perfect relationship. The love story of music is much nicer to listen to than music just about sex…even though there are songs like Ride, Ride a Cowboy, and Strip It Down.

Some people may say that country music is just about trucks and tractors (okay, there is one called Big Green Tractor and one called Blue Tacoma). Others may complain that country music is all about farming, but America was founded by farming so long ago. It is about going back to your roots.

Meanwhile, Back at Mama's when you see a "for sale" sign, you are reminded of all the good times you have spent as a family. In a sleepy little town, you realize who your friends are because you’ve got friends in low places. Being around your old friends or your old high school flame means you're able to just cruise around with them and remember when you drove the lifted jeep while listening to country music. Country music is soft and makes great cruising music because it is not just about “Molly and Percocet”.

There is very rarely any drug references in country music because country music is wholesome and family-oriented. Country music encourages families to go to church and have faith. When it isn’t Sunday and you aren’t being faithful, country music still reminds you to have some fun.

Go out on a Pontoon and have a great day with your friends. If it is raining and you can’t, it is okay because rain is a good thing. Without rain, though, you can have a bonfire with music that girls will make you want to play again. If this girl ends up being single and loves country music, you can take her to a concert because country concerts are so much fun. No one is rough or scary at country concerts because everyone just wants to have a nice time with their kids or their sorority girl.

Even if you think country music is just about guns, you are wrong. Going shooting is a fun family bonding activity since sometimes you're with your dad and your first rifle. When country music lovers grow up, they are watching their dad because they are their buckaroo and want to do everything they do. Dads always help their young children growing up to remember to never give up.

Country music is full of positives, even if the song is about death. Country music is about family, wholesome fun, your hometown, having fun, and more than just tractors, trucks, and guns. Maybe if people can relax on a front porch with a drink in their hand, they will be able to appreciate country music. Remember, always stay humble and kind.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
