This is the time of year that all sports fans rejoice. All the leagues come together to form one big October conglomerate of sports.

Baseball Postseason is in full swing (and it's been a doozy), college football is chaotic as always, and the NFL continues, as NBA has finally tipped off after one of the craziest offseason ever. Then there's college basketball on the horizon.

In celebration, I decided a good way to celebrate was to find some of the greatest sports commercials ever made. There's nothing like a goosebump inducing, inspiring, classic commercial to get you pumped for sports.

Most of these are basketball because, well, basketball is probably the easiest, most fun and consistent sport to make commercials for. Plus, the NBA just started. Let's begin, shall we?

1. Rule Yourself (Tom Brady, Under Armour)

It's Tom Brady. The Goat. Then it's an army of Tom Brady's. An army of Goats. Dang.

2. Come Out of Nowhere (Lebron James, Nike)

This is from the beginning of last season but it still gives me chills. I'll never forget Lebron's career defining moment. I'll never forget where I was or how I felt when he flew through the air to block that shot in the 2016 NBA Finals. Sports, man.

3. Failure (Michael Jordan, Nike)

Michael Jordan spitting wisdom about how failure leads to success? Yes please.

4. Hittin' Em (Russell Westbrook, Jordan)

This is also a hype video from last season, but it still jams today. Russell Westbrook is still doing what he wants as the reining MVP and Kevin Durant's departure from OKC is a little less damaging with Paul George and Carmelo Anthony joining the Thunder squad. Can Russ finally get his much deserved ring? I hope so. Thunder Up!

5. Ripple (Rory Mcllroy, Nike Golf)

Yeah, it's golf. I don't know what's going on in the golf world right now, but this commercial is too good not to include. It's no doubt one of the best sports commercials ever made. It's basically a very short film about Rory Mcllroy growing up watching his favorite golfer, Tiger Woods, and then playing with him when he becomes a pro golfer himself. Cue that story with the piano score and tears and chills and so many emotions ensue. Sports, man! There's magic in every sport.

6. Michael Jordan vs. Himself (Gatorade)

We're going to lighten it up again here. Old MJ pitted against younger MJ. Genius, Gatorade, just genius.

7. Don't Love me. Hate me. (Kobe Bryant, Nike)

I never hated Kobe. I never loved Kobe either, but he was good at basketball and I remember how cool this commercial was.

8. Together (Lebron James, Nike)

Lebron finally did it for Cleveland two years after this commercial.

9. Derek Jeter Farwell Ads Compilation (Nike/MLB/Gatorade)

This is three commercials in one video, because all of the farewell commercials to Derek Jeter in 2014 are classics. The Captain retired after the 2014 season and baseball still isn't the same.

10. Look Me in the Eyes- Become Legendary (Jordan)

This is probably the most motivational sports commercials ever, and a good one to end on.

There you go. Sports, man, they're so magical yet so real. It's the best sports time of the year. Let us relish in it. Postseason baseball today, NBA basketball tomorrow, college football on Saturday, NFL on Sunday. Wow.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
