For The Best Friend Who Became My Lifesaver

You have been more than just a best friend to me you've been a lifesaver. I could honestly say there's a million things you've done for me to show me how much you care about our relationship.

For starters you were there for me when I was all alone. Whenever I had no one else to turn to you were always there with a smile on your face and an ear to listen to me vent about anything and everything. You never judged me for anything you ever heard me say. You decided to stick around when anyone else would have taken off running. No matter what it was that was going on you were always there for me when I turned to you for help or just for someone to lean on.

The differences between us are insane. You've kept me grounded since the first day we became friends. You've taught me so much about myself and how I've been looking at the world around me. An important lesson I've learned since I've met you is knowing how to appreciate myself, but most importantly to appreciate others around me. You've truly given me a new way to look at life. You have taught me that I don't need to care about everyone's opinion and what's important is how I feel and the way people I love feel

Lastly, I am so thankful at the fact that I was blessed with such a caring and loving person to call my best friend. You came into my life at such a difficult time and although I didn't know how important and how close we would be at the time I'm so grateful that you were there.I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you in my life. I never tell you enough how much I appreciate having you around but I do. I'm so happy to know that I have another person by my side looking out for me especially next year when I move out. The fact that I get to move in with my best friend makes me so excited. I know people always say to never live with your best friend but our bond is unbreakable and for that I'm thankful.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
