One of the most rewarding aspects of a friendship is the ability to communicate and cooperate with one another. Once you find that with someone or within a group of people, life is sweeter and more enjoyable. This summer, a bucket list essential should be to go on a road trip to any destination with your best friend. Whether if it's a three-day trip or a week-long trip, the memories you will create in that period of time will be unforgettable. I know this because I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Chicago with my best friend who goes to school on the West side.

One reason you should go on a road trip is to enjoy the car ride.

The car ride is extremely essential because that is where all the deep conversations and great music is played. It's also the build-up and cool down of the trip, where you both hype up the excitement of the journey and recall how incredible it was on the way back. Especially with an eight hour or more drive, you have all the time in the world to talk about and listen to whatever you want. All of this is effortless when you're with your best friend because everything comes naturally. When I am in the car with my best friend, we already know what playlist to listen to on Spotify and what we should listen to next. There is no awkwardness or anything held back because the two of you are practically one.

This brings me to an extremely important subtopic: music is ESSENTIAL to the road trip.

If you're like me and my best friend, you already know we have a set playlist of songs or artists to listen to, even if we're not going on a road trip. Not everyone will take this as seriously as we do, but that's what makes our friendship all the more special. We both understand the bonding and conversation music can create when two people are on the road. The variety of music to listen to is endless, as it brings new opportunities to discover more music as well. Essentially, it creates a mood for the drive, so make the playlist or queue appropriately. As for me and my best friend, you can find us blasting LANY, Tyler the Creator, Rich Brian, Childish Gambino, or all of them in one sitting.

Pictures are a necessity, too.

Documenting the trip and mesmerizing views will help you with Instagram captions for days. From the funny moments to the EPIC FAIL moments will keep the trip memorable. This will also be a reminder that not every trip is going to be perfect or not everything is going to go accordingly to plan. Don't be glued to your phone, but take all the cute and ugly photos you want. Taking a decent amount of pictures is better than taking none. I take important note to this because I am not a person to take a lot of pictures, but I appreciated it more when I can recall the memories and the moments that occurred before and after the picture was taken.

No matter where the destination or who you are going with, make sure to squeeze in a little road trip before life gets hectic. It's the best bonding experience and opportunity to get to know your best friend even more.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
