10 Reasons Why My Mom Is My Best Friend

My mom is the strongest and most hard working person that I know. She is a wife, she is a daughter, she is a friend, and most importantly she is a mom. My mom is the most kind hearted person that I have ever met, but when I was little and I would get in trouble she can be the most scariest person that I have ever met.

1.She Is Always There To Pick Me Up When I Fall Down

Growing up my mom would always be the first person I would run to whenever something is wrong. If I got hurt outside in the backyard, I would run and cry to my mom. If someone said something mean to me at school I would tell my mom.

1. She Is Always There For Me

No matter what time or what day it is, she is always there when I need her. I can call her in the middle of the night and she will answer and is always there to listen. She gives me advice, and she gives me her wisdom. From laughing on the couch with her, to me crying on her shoulder. She will always be there with open arms.

2. She Is Always Honest.

My mom always said the only person who can be honest with you is your mom. My mom always gives it to me straight, she doesn't sugar coat anything. If I want an honest opinion about something she gives it to me. My mom is my personal fashion police when it comes to clothes, and makeup.

3. Everyone Loves Her.

My mom is the type of person that everyone loves being around. Her smile, and her sweetness is contagious, that everyone falls in love with her.

4. She Is My Inspiration.

My mother is my idol, that sounds so cliche but it's true. My mother worked all the time, she cleaned the house, she did our laundry, she cooked, and she still had time to spend time with her children. She is the definition of a godly woman and a mother. I hope to be just like her when I'm older.

5. Her Cooking Is Amazing!

No food can ever beat my mom's food. She is truly a chef, even if she didn't go to culinary school. This woman can make anything, and she will cook food for anyone. The happiness on her face when she is cooking for people, is truly one of the greatest things.

6. She's My Number 1 Fan.

This woman has been to every game, recital, performance, and sporting event. She is always in the stands or in the crowd shouting my name. She is my number one supporter, and she is my number one coach.

8. Her Unconditional Love

Whether I did something wrong, or that I got in trouble, she would still love me. There is nothing that I could do that would make her love me any less.

9. She Makes Me Happy

Whenever I am sad, or I'm just having a bad day I call my mom. Just hearing her voice, makes me feel calm, and makes me feel like I'm at home. The older I get the more closer I get to my mom, I talk to my mom more than twice a day, and that may sound crazy but I always miss her.

10. She Wants What Is Best For Me

My mother sacrificed so much in life, to make sure my siblings and I had a great childhood. My mom still to this day sacrifices her life, and I'm nearly 200 miles away from her. She will never stop caring, worrying, praying, or loving me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
