Being a transfer student, I was worried about finding the right friend group for me. However, this also applies to incoming freshman. I mean how do you find friends after moving to a completely new town? Well, it's actually a lot easier than you would think.

1. Standing in a line

Because there are so many people on a college campus, you will more than likely stand in a line at least once a day. This is probably the easiest way to find a friend.

2. Clubs/organizations

Joining new clubs and meeting new people is always a good option. There are so many different clubs and organizations for almost anything you can possibly think of.

3. Sporting events

Games and student sections are so packed that you can bump into someone next to you and make a new friend.

4. That student you sit next to in class

There's no better bond than the one you share with your procrastination partner in class.

5. Campus food courts

Everyone's gotta eat! Plus, this brings us back to those lines.

6. Intramurals

Almost every major sport has an intramural league. Join one and meet people with the same interests as you.

7. Greek

Sororities and fraternities aren't the only ones included in Greek. There are Greek honor societies, band groups, religious affiliations, etc. There are so many other Greek clubs for all interests.

8. Events on campus

So I know my university has all sorts of events, fundraisers, and giveaways going on all over campus all the time. My university hosts blood drives, Homecoming, philanthropy week, free giveaways, etc. It's a good way to make friends and get free stuff!

9. Dorm/apartment complex get-togethers

Depending on where you live, a lot of places will hold little get togethers (again with the free stuff!) to meet the people who live around you. They'll usually give away t-shirts and food so it's worth the stop by.

10. Roommates

Sometimes a roommate can be the friend you never knew you needed.

11. Classes in your major

Once you've gotten past at least year one, you'll start taking classes more central to your major. At this point, you'll start seeing the same people all the time. Might as well befriend that girl/boy you sit by in every class.

Honestly, you could meet a friend anywhere. Don't let college intimidate you. Even a shy person like me can make friends!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
