Benefits to Your Boyfriend Being Your Best Friend

Having your boyfriend as your best friend has many benefits!

Benefits to Your Boyfriend Being Your Best Friend

Some boyfriends can be your best friend, and some can just be boyfriends. But I'm telling you the best ones are the ones you can be 100 percent yourself around, and make you feel like you're their best friend. Here are some of the benefits to having your boyfriend be your best friend!

1. You're always comfortable around them.

All dressed up with red lips and winged liner with somewhere to go or in sweats, hair tied, chillin' with no makeup on, you feel totally OK with your appearance. You also feel at peace with yourself, and there's a calm and secure atmosphere when you're together.

2. All of those ugly Snapchats are a definite sign of being comfortable with each other.

He may even send you one back telling you how beautiful you are in all of your double chin, no makeup glory. You know deep down you are nowhere near as beautiful as he thinks, but it's still nice to know he thinks you're a cutie no matter what.

3. Going on a date doesn't really feel like a date.

They consist more of awkward people-watching and eating off each other's plates while talking about things that no one else would really understand.

4. Those late-night or middle-of-the-day adventures.

Whether it be a two-hour drive up north or a ten-minute drive down the road to grab a McDonald's chocolate milkshake at four a.m., you can always count on him to make it an exciting time with his crazy taste in music and his hysterical stories of the day.

5. While there are many happy and fun times in a relationship, there are always hard times.

Just like a best friend, a boyfriend doesn't have a problem speaking his mind when he feels there's an issue to be resolved. Instead of running away and avoiding these issues, you two face them head-on like a strong couple always does, and you come out the other side even stronger than before.

6. The hard times are tough to face alone.

But having someone there to hold you and to remind you that everything happens for a reason, and to remind you that you are never alone in these situations may just be the most beautiful part of him. He may not always understand why you're bawling your eyes out at two a.m., but you know darn well he'll be up with you with a lot of hugs and kisses telling you you'll be alright.

7. You can go to him for any reason.

Having a problem with friends? He'll listen and give you honest advice, whether it's telling you you're being dumb so get over it, or telling you you're not in the wrong and to just wait for them to make the next move. Work drama? He'll let you vent your heart out until the cows come home if it helps. Having someone you can pour your heart out to about any subject without being afraid really is an amazing feeling.

8. You always have each others best interest at heart.

Whether you end up together for the rest of your lives or it just doesn't end up working out, you'll always wish the best for the other person. You want them to be happy wherever they end up in life. And that truly defines an amazing best friend/boyfriend relationship.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
