It seems like the whole world watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot and become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. If you're like a lot of people, you got up early to watch their televised ceremony. Lavish royal weddings don't happen every day, so the splendor and display of riches and titles are appealing to us commoners.

However, royal weddings last at least an hour, and they don't feature much excitement other than their display of wealth. So, instead of watching (and rewatching) the latest royal wedding, here are the REAL top 10 royal weddings to watch.

1. Anakin Skywalker and Queen Padmé Amidala

Queen Amidala and Anakin Skywalker have a rough start to their marriage. He breaks the Jedi Code to marry her, which leads him on the path to the dark side (like marriage will do anyway, am I right?) due to the fact that he sees Amidala dying in childbirth. To combat this, he strives for more power to save her, and he becomes the corrupted Darth Vader. After force choking her and abandoning her for the dark side, Amidala does indeed die in childbirth — from having lost her will to live. While this marriage ends in tragedy, it gives us not only a ton of action but also the birth of a legacy in the form of Leia and Luke.

2. Shrek and Princess Fiona

Although not the most conventional of marriages as far as fairytales go, it certainly is one of the most magical. After getting enlisted to rescue Princess Fiona from her castle to save his swamp, Shrek and Fiona fall in love on their journey to deliver her to Lord Farquaad for marriage. Due to her curse of turning into an ogre at night, she wants to break it by marrying Farquaad so that others will think she's beautiful even after the sun goes down.

When Shrek crashes the wedding, they kiss. When she's scared he won't think she's beautiful after turning into an ogre full time, he tells her that she will always be beautiful to him.

3. Milo Thatch and Princess Kidagakash Nedakh

After trying to follow in his grandfather's footsteps to discover the lost city of Atlantis, he is finally granted a real chance of locating its whereabouts. Together with a team of specialists, they and find it and realize that the Atlanteans have lost most of their culture and history. The king of Atlantis is not too thrilled with strangers, but his daughter, Princess Kidagakash quickly warms up to Milo and the gang. After foiling one of the specialist's plans to steal Atlantis's most prized possession with the help of the rest of the team, Milo and Kida get married and rebuild Atlantis.

4. Ella and Prince Charmont

After given the "blessing" of obedience, Ella lives life cautiously in this tale of wicked stepmothers and murder in the fairytale kingdom of Emir. Ella travels through the land trying to break her curse of obedience after its used for evil by her stepmother and stepsisters. She stumbles upon Prince Charmont after he runs away from his fan club, and the two hit it off. However, his uncle (who killed his father) is plotting to kill him to steal the throne. After attempting to use Ella's curse to kill Charmont, Ella's friends from her travels band together and save the kingdom.

5. Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun, "Wreck-It Ralph"

This marriage has everything you need: a second chance at love, a riveting backstory, and tons of action. Felix and Calhoun get together after helping Ralph and Vanellope save Sugar Rush from destruction. After her first husband-to-be meets an early demise, this journey allowed Calhoun to care about people again, while maintaining her hardcore personality.

6. Genevieve and Derek, "Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses"

Like Meghan and Harry, Genevieve and Derek also have an enchanting wedding. After being deemed unladylike, Genevieve's father orders his sister to train his 12 daughters to become proper. In a twist, his sister torments the girls, steals their deceased mother's belongings, and poisons the king. However, their mother left behind a magical world that the girls use to save the kingdom.

7. Prince Herbert and a foreign princess, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"

For those of you tired of romance in the slightest, Prince Herbert's wedding is the one for you. Trying to escape an arranged marriage, Prince Herbert sends for help by shooting an arrow out of his window. Sir Lancelot answers the call, but not before he murders half of the wedding party. Although the bride manages to escape the blade, the marriage (expectedly) crumbles.

8. Giselle and Robert (and Prince Edward and Nancy), "Enchanted"

In the fairy tale (and animated) world of Andalasia, Prince Edward and Giselle are set to marry, but his stepmother has other plans. Banished to the real world, Giselle has to adapt to her new surroundings. Along the way, she meets Robert, a lawyer in New York, and his daughter. Running after his love, Prince Edward finds himself in the real world as well. Battling his stepmother, Prince Edward and Giselle realized that they are in love with other people. However, everyone gets their happily ever after in the end.

9. Robin Hood and Maiden Marian, "Robin Hood: Men in Tights"

This action-packed romance centers on one very important thing: the key to true love. A spin of the classic tale of Robin Hood, including a more diverse cast than perhaps any other Robin Hood movie. Robin Hood steals from the rich and gives to the poor while avoiding the evil sheriff and Prince John. After foiling Prince John's attempt to forcefully marry Marian, Robin Hood and Marian marry instead, and "Johns" become the name of toilets forever.

10. Princess Vespa and Lone Starr, "Spaceballs:

After running away from her arranged marriage to Prince Valium, Princess Vespa escapes with Dot Matrix by taking her father's new Mercedes spaceship. Meanwhile, there is an ongoing feud between her land and Planet Spaceball for oxygen. Her father hires Lone Starr to rescue her before the Spaceballs can find her. They escape with the help of Yogurt, and he teaches Lone Starr about "the Schwartz" and more importantly, merchandising!

Vespa ends up in the hands of Dark Helmet and forces her father to give up the code to the air supply. Lone Starr and the gang spring Vespa from her captors, with Vespa in turn rescuing the gang from Dark Helmet's minions, and she is safely returned to her home. Realizing that they have fallen in love, the two get married after Yogurt reveals a very important surprise.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
