There are a lot of great things about Disneyland. The food, rides, and nostalgia you get walking through the park are a lot to talk about in one article. So... I picked food. If you know me in person, you know that I can talk about food a LOT. (I'm the only person I know who regularly leaves reviews on Yelp)
I went to Disneyland and California Adventures for my school sanctioned senior ditch day and had a great time. Good food, good entertainment, and good people make for a good day. Here's what I ate and what I thought about it!
Lunch I got to the park at around 9 o'clock and was eager to get on some rides, so I didn't eat until noon when I was able to convince my friends to get gumbo with me. Next to Pirates of the Caribbean, you can find a gumbo place that sells steak or vegetarian gumbo, clam chowder, and chips. The limited menu can be deterring, but don't let it be! Take advantage of the bread bowls filled with gumbo! It's worth it! Even my friend who can't eat any spice food was able to enjoy the mildly spicy steak gumbo. It's a good size to share, unless you're really hungry, in which case you should definitely get your own.
Snack #1 Dole Whip! Major key alert! This shit is the food of gods, I promise. It's not too sweet, and it's super creamy despite being dairy free! You can get it next to the Tiki Room right near Indiana Jones and Jungle Cruise. I cannot fully explain how yummy dole whip is. You can also get a dole whip float which is the dole whip floating in a float of pineapple juice (exciting! and very sweet). I stuck with the traditional dole whip and it was the best $4.19 I spent that day.
Snack #2 Cone Queso! You can find this little stall in California Adventures. The stall is in a giant orange cone so it's kind of hard to miss. The dish was literally bacon mac and cheese in a bread cone. I loved it. The Mac and cheese was a little bit too cheesy in a weird liquid way, but it tasted decent so I ate it all anyway. At $8 it's a little expensive for what it is, but it was worth trying.
Snack #3 Churro! I love Disneyland churros. Perfectly crispy, perfectly sweet, and, like all churros, too short.

Snack #4 (Kind of) My friend always gets these phallic shaped chocolate covered bananas when she goes to Disneyland, so they have to be good. I don't know how good because I refused to try it, but here's a picture so you can form your own opinions.
You tell me what you think. I wasn't going to put my mouth on it, but if you ever try it let me know if it's worth $4.
I had no regrets. Everything I ate was decent, though I do wish I could have tried the famous corn dog (there's a specific red cart where you can get the good ones), a Mickey Mouse shaped macaron, and a Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream sandwich (or any ice cream on Main Street). Disneyland is known for being an expensive day, and the food can be pretty pricey, but also delicious.
