1. You get more "me time"
Netflix, morning coffee, working out, meditating, whatever it may be, it's so much more beneficial at the crack of dawn when no one else is awake.
2. Less people to bother you
As a very irritable person, I enjoy life much more when less people are awake. Sounds harsh, but it's reality. Once I get coffee and a couple hours of peace and quiet, I can tolerate most people.
3. You have time to change your outfits as many times as you please
In case you're indecisive, like me.
4. Studies have actually shown that morning people have higher rates of productivity
It sure doesn't feel like that all the time, but at the end of the day I'm usually surprised at how much I got done.
5. You have the gym to yourself
My gym is never crowded at the crack of dawn, less judgmental and again, more productive.
6. More time to relax in the evening
If you get most tasks done before 2 pm, that leaves the rest of the night to do more enjoyable things.
7. More time in the morning = more time for coffee
If you're a caffeine addict like me, that's the only benefit that really matters.
8. You're more awake throughout the day
Until around 3 pm.... crash.
9. You get to sleep earlier
There's nothing much better than getting everything done early, relaxing in the evening, and going to sleep early.
10. Studies have also shown that early risers have faster metabolisms, resulting in faster weight loss
With spring break right around the corner, better start setting your alarms for a couple hours earlier!
11. Prioritizing your day is less stressful in the morning
Again, it's all about productivity.
12. More time for breakfast
Instead of running through the drive-thru, taking the time to make a breakfast has a significant impact on wellbeing and happiness.
