Sometimes your friends might call you out for being too "sensitive" within a situation but that's totally okay. Your compassion and care for people is truly amazing in the way that you always want to make others happy. When putting so much energy into other people, it makes it difficult at times to handle disappointment with those you care about the most. But those hard times make it easier to to see the better times in the future. The strength that you hold throughout those times makes you grow as a person and evolve into who you are today, as well as who you will become. You seek the best in people and when their best isn't enough it destroys you because it's really hard to let go. The high expectations you set previously begin to become lower in the way that people disrespect and take advantage of your kindness.

Even if someone says horrible words to you and makes you feel worthless, you still attempt to find something to hold on to. Statements can become phrases that are permanently locked into your memory and make you feel even lower as a person and a friend. It's important that we make these statements positive as they leave imprints in our minds for years to come. If we positively impact the way that we think as well as how others perceive us, we would be so much happier. When you're at a low point and all you can do is try to hold on to something, you become emotionally invested in anything that comes your way. These situations bring out the sensitive sides of you which make you care a little bit more than you should.

But, that's what makes you who you are and that shouldn't change due to the opinions of others. Overall, it's definitely good to have a little spark of sensitivity in your life to care a little bit more about those around you. But, don't let others take advantage of the kindness that you reflect on the outside because that's what makes you who are. That can result in a future of doubt and a lack of self respect of who you are. You deserve to be the best version of yourself and to surround yourself with people who bring out the best sides of you daily. The people who don't seem to do that for you, aren't the one's who are worth it in the end.

Don't ever feel the need to associate this characteristic as negative because this is what makes you who you are, and it's something that will always be in your life. So no matter where life takes you always remember that being this way is 100% okay, and there's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
