Being an aunt can be the biggest blessing, but it can also be quite hilarious! Here's to all my aunties out there just trying to get by!

1. What's my name again?

Your entire family refers to you as "auntie" so you actually begin to think that is your real name.

2. Pep talks

Sometimes you just need to tell yourself you got this before babysitting the little monsters!

3. Get out of jail free card

Whenever your niece/nephew gets in trouble, you are the first one they run too because you will hug them and comfort them -- every single time.

4. Disobedience is sort of hilarious

Anytime they give sass or deliberately do something they are not supposed to, the laughter is inevitable and you kind of just stand there like "well, I'm going to go now."

5. Talking

When you talk to your niece/nephew and get no response, just a blank expression.

6. "I don't know mommy."

I can easily get my nephew to lie for me, especially if I give him candy or let him do something he was not supposed to. All I do is make him say that one little phrase, and we are good to go!

7. Your best friend is 3 and you have no shame

Being an aunt means your niece/nephew will be your best friend, even if they are 3-years-old.

8. Return to owner

Dirty diapers and puke? Not a job for auntie.

9. Birth Control?

Sometimes having a niece/nephew will make you want to have kids of your own...until they start acting up and throwing tantrums. Suddenly, then the dream is gone, and you get this look on your face.

10. "Your kid is so cute."

Yes, people do think I have a child sometimes but I promise he is my nephew -- not my son. I've even resorted to making that my bio on social media because I post about him so often.

11. Food?

If you happen to live with your niece or nephew, you know the dangers of eating food around them. Every meal and every snack has to be shared no matter what.

12. Terrible Twos

I am that person who will continually bug my nephew when he is in a bad mood, and sometimes it puts him in a better mood and other times, it makes it worse!

13. You are cool to at least one person

I may not be the coolest to some people but to my nephew, I know I'm his favorite as well as the coolest.

14. Rules???

Yes, Auntie will 100 percent give you that chocolate your mother just denied you because I am the cool one and I don't follow rules!

15. Gifts

Also, know as the best part of being an aunt! This means I can buy them whatever I want, even if it is loud and obnoxious -- and you best believe I have already purchased a shirt that says "I love my auntie!" Unfortunately, some gifts may get thrown in your face.

16. Nicknames

As an auntie, it is a requirement to have a nickname for you and your little buddy that can only be used by you. If anyone else calls them by that nickname, it's simply unacceptable!

17. You act like nothing happened

When crazy things happen, just act natural and maybe no one will notice.

18. Sharing attention

I don't know about you, but when other people are playing with my nephew I get really jealous and I just want to take him away and not share him with anyone.

19. The love

Whenever my nephew gives me a hug, a kiss, or holds my hand it makes me so happy because I know how much he loves me and I make sure he knows how much I love him!

20. Approval

If my nephew doesn't like you, we can't be friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
