As the temperatures drop and the leaves start to gain their autumn hue, that means the best time of the year is here: college football season.

But at the University of Kentucky, football season isn't just football. It's Caturday season. Caturday is such a unique phrase. It's a noun and a verb. You can say, "Oh I'm really excited it's Caturday!" or "Who are you doing Caturday with?" The phrases are endless along with the wild times.

But if you've never done Caturday before or never even heard of the term, you're missing out. It's the best time to get rowdy with your friends and cheer for mildly disappointing football. But that's okay! As long as you have your pals and follow a few simple rules, you'll be as good as gold.

1. Wear something blue.

This one is so obvious that you shouldn't have to be told throw something blue on. In fact, you don't even have to wear blue. Maybe something white or even black. As long as you're wearing one of those three colors, you'll fit right in. But don't ever, ever wear red. If you do, you should just call it quits and transfer. You'll automatically be associated with Louisville and that's just embarrassing by itself. So wear something blue. Whether it's a cute dress or a football jersey and shorts, it doesn't matter. Just rock that Kentucky blue on them.

2. Wear comfortable shoes.

Everyone has that pair of shoes that they want to wear to everything no matter how much they kill your feet. They're just so cute. Maybe you're in love with those sky scraper wedges or are dying to wear those expensive stiff sandals. Either way, you'll regret it. You'll be walking from tailgate to tailgate and across campus and back way too many times. Save the painful but oh so cute shoes for another day. A pair of white converse work great and your feet will probably thank you later.

3. Visit The Bowl.

No Caturday is complete until you've visited the bowl right before you make your way to the stadium. Most of the fraternities set up tents to visit and it's the perfect place to see everyone having a great time. Sure it get's a little loud, a little hot and a little crowded but it's an experience like no other. You're surrounded by fellow Cats fans cheering and screaming the Wildcat chant. And if you're lucky, someone from a nearby tailgate might offer burger or hot dog fresh off the grill. Who could turn down free food?

4. Take a ton of pictures.

Caturday is the perfect excuse to put on a full face of makeup and take an enormous amount of pictures. And why wouldn't you? You're out with your friends enjoying great weather and cheering on your Wildcats. There are so many opportunities to document these moments that you should always stop for pictures when you get the chance.

5. Don't throw up on yourself.

Of all the things to do on Caturday, this one is the most important. There are tailgates everywhere and it's a little easy to get carried away if you're not careful. So pace yourself and have a good time. No one wants to be the girl who's throwing up all day. And how is that enjoyable? Caturday isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.

So if you follow a few simple guidelines, you'll be able to enjoy Caturday perfectly. Get cute, stay comfy and go Cats.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
