School Work And Social Life Is A Balancing Act That I Have not yet perfected

When it comes to college, trying to balance a social life and school work can be the hardest thing on planet earth. The issue with this is that there comes a time where you want to be able to go out and have fun with your friends but also but also stay in and do homework. College is about having a healthy balance between. But the problem then becomes what if you miss out on something amazing?

Like if there is a really rad tailgate with one of the fraternities and some guy does some crazy thing that needs to be documented on video, but you weren't there and you missed out. You'd feel heartbroken and left outta the loop because if you're anything like me and in a sorority and if all your friends go they will talk about the events all week. But along the lines of being in a sorority, you feel the need to go to all the socials that you're invited to with the fraternities and if you don't go you'll feel like you missed out, once again.

But with that, there comes the stress of wanting to make time to do homework and balance a social life. Like how am I supposed to get my homework done if I go out and party all the time? But how do I have a social life if I stay in a do homework? There's oh so much time you can put into doing homework before you feel the need to throw your hands up in pain and scream about how stressed out you are. Not really sure if anyone is able to understand what it means to feel like that but yeah in the long run that is how life seems to be these days. When will I have enough time to do this or do that, it all just depends on whether or not you chose to make the time for it or decide to ignore priorities altogether. If you chose to ignore priorities, in the end, your grades will suffer unless you are magically a fricken genius and can figure out how to do literally everything, then hands down to you. I praise you to the next level of life. For me, I need to sit down for hours and re-read the material until it sits in my head and I'm able to understand the topics before taking a major exam.

And in order to do that, I need all the time in the world to make sure that I understand the material covered in class before a big exam. But even then, I have major test anxiety and I can't seem to do well on the exams but that's not the point of all of this. The point of this is to prove that if you are willing to put in the effort that it takes to balance school and social I say do it strive to the fullest.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
