Having worked in food service for a few years, and having many friends who have had similar experiences, I have decided to compile a list of some things that may make you the WORST drive-thru customer EVER. If you do any of these things...please stop. NOW. If you don't do any of the things on this list...you're awesome. Gold star!

Here's how you know if we're saying "Yup, You'rethatannoying customer" after you leave:

1. Smoking at the window.

It's gross. And rude.

2. Talking on the phone (Especially Bluetooth)

We're not really sure if you're talking to us or the person on the other end of the phone...and we can hear your entire conversation.

3. Leaving your windshield wipers on

I am inside and have zero desire to be drenched by the rain.

4. Not having your wallet already out

Why are you even here? And you shouldn't be driving...chances are if you forgot your wallet you also don't have your license. Above it all, now we have to throw out your order.

5. Your passengers are screaming while you're ordering

I don't want to have to ask you four times: "I'm sorry...what was that?" It's annoying for both of us.

6. N-ot being in a car

It's a DRIVE-THRU...not a walk-up window!

7. There definitely is such thing as a stupid question

If it's on the menu I'm not listing it for you...I'll just tell you to read the menu that's right in front of your face.

8. Having an obnoxiously loud engine

I cannot hear anything you're saying. At all. Turn off your engine before you order.

9. Ordering WAY too much through the drive-thru

If you have a huge order...come inside! Otherwise, our drive-thru is now backed up, and you'll likely be waiting much longer for your order.

10. Not knowing what to order

If you don't know the menu well...come inside! You sitting there at drive-thru trying to learn the menu creates awkward silences for both of us. This should be avoided at all costs.

11. Yelling/Cursing at Worker

We are doing our best to get you exactly what you want in the shortest amount of time as possible. Yelling at us will not make us go faster.

12. Ordering other restaurant's products

Please remember where you are. McDonald's doesn't have Whoppers. Burger King doesn't have Big Macs. Chick-fil-a serves CHICKEN, not burgers (and their chicken nuggets are not McNuggets!)

13. Ordering from the backseat/passenger's seat

I know you feel like you're screaming from the back of the car, or that your order is too complicated for the driver to order for you...but we CANNOT hear you through the speaker.

14. Listening to loud music and trying to order simultaneously

Why would you do this?! Turn off your music before ordering!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
