We did it. We survived Winter Break. We no longer are trapped miles away from our friends in a boring town with nothing to do. We're back. Yay! The first week of the new semester is always a fun time. But it also has its downsides of course.
First of all, there's nothing more exciting than reuniting with your friends after a month of separation.
Everyone is so excited to go out too.
Maybe a little too excited. But whatever, it's syllabus week!
But then we're reminded that back to school means back to classes too... and it's not as easy as we'd like to think.
Finding the motivation to go to FDOC is extremely difficult.
Especially when you wake up hungover from going out during syllabus week.
If you actually make it to class, you then realize you've forgotten how to "school" while home for Winter Break. How is it possible to forget everything we've learned over the past 15 years in just one month?
The first week feels like a month. Who knew school was this exhausting? How did we use to do this last semester? Crap, it's only Wednesday? We can do it. I think. I hope. Help!
Somehow, though, we manage to survive the first week semester after semester. Although it may not be pretty.
Only like 16 more weeks to go!
