Whether you have been intensely watching the Olympics or just skimming through your twitter newsfeed to update yourself, I’m sure you know the real gold medalists of the women’s gymnastics team; Rick and Lynn Raisman. Being the parents of such an amazing athlete cannot be easy especially when the pressure is on. Every parent copes in different ways but the Raisman’s are the most relatable, particularly when it comes to going back to school.

1. Trying to dodge the emails you’re getting left and right from your professors a month before school with the full syllabus.

2. When you see the size of your room and then look at all of the stuff you packed to bring.

I mean, maybe it can all squeeze in there.

3. Going through the syllabus and seeing the final isn't cumulative.

Jokes on you professor.

4. When it's the first day of class and your professor insists on talking the whole three hours.

Yes, please tell me more.

5. When you get your first group assignment and need to claim your best friend before anyone else does.

6. Trying to stay awake in your 8 a.m. class like....

7. When all of your professors decide to assign their exams on the same day.

I'm starting to think they have a coalition.

8. When another student asks if the due date of an assignment can be moved and they approve.

9. Then another student challenges your professor on their facts and everything may turn to shambles.

It is the first week of class, can you not.

10. When you get your first exam score back and find out you passed.

I guess this semester won't be all that bad.

11. When it's your last class of the week and your professor says you can go.

Weekend, here I come.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
