It is essential to take two hours a week out of your busy summer schedules to watch "The Bachelorette." Every Monday night after the show concludes, I find myself counting down the days, hours and minutes until the next episode. It is not easy for a show to grasp my attention, but The Bachelorette exceeds my expectations. If you haven't tuned in yet, here is everything you need to know in order to be caught up!
"The Bachelorette" is one of the most entertaining shows I have ever watched. The reason it grasps my attention is because it is filled with both drama and romance. There is never a dull moment on "The Bachelorette." There are bound to be a lot of emotions flowing when the bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe, is dating 26 different men at once. In the end, Bristowe will only choose one man to be her husband. So far, this season has been like any other.
The reason this season has been filled with so much drama is because Kaitlyn was informed in the middle of the show that Nick Viall, a prior contestant, wanted a shot at love with her. Kaitlyn and Nick had spoken before the start of the show via text message, but had never met in person. Nick knew he would be extremely disappointed in himself if he did not get a chance to meet Kaitlyn in person. It was clear when Kaitlyn and Nick first met that they had a strong connection. When Kaitlyn was faced with the decision to either let Nick stay on the show or send him home, she chose to keep him around. The other contestants were not happy with her decision at all. They were concerned with her decision to bring another man onto the show in the middle of the season. Prior to Nick coming onto the show, Kaityln stated that she felt one of the contestants in the room could be her husband. Since Kaitlyn felt the need to let Nick stay, the men now doubt her previous statement and have been questioning her intentions. The men are also worried that Viall is not on the show for the right reasons. Once Nick arrived on the show, he did not receive a warm welcome from the men. One contestant in particular, Shawn Booth, was especially upset about Nick coming onto the show because Kaityln previously told Shawn he’s “the one.” It is extremely difficult for Shawn to see someone he is falling in love with build connections with other men.
Shawn has grown very attached to Kaitlyn and on the last episode she admitted to America, that she regrets giving Booth so much confidence. Kaityln does not think it was fair of her to tell Shawn he’s “the one” when she has formed intimate relationships with a lot of other guys on the show too. Shawn was very taken back by this and now does not know if he can marry Kaitlyn. Bristowe has a lot of important decisions to make because whoever she chooses to keep will soon be meeting her family.
