A Look At The Bachelorette 2016 Contestants

These are some of the contestants that I thought are in the top twelve of Monday night's season premiere of the Bachelorette. Jojo, you have some tough choices headed your way.

1. Jordan Rodgers

Who cannot resist a hometown turned professional quarterback? He's sweet, handsome, and ready for love. When JoJo met him this past Monday on ABC at the famous Bachelor/Bachelorette mansion, he definitely made a lasting first impression. And later into the night, when he kissed her (the second time he had a private meeting with her), the whole world fell in love with him. JoJo finally came to her senses and gave the first impression rose to him, referring to her earlier comment about the kiss, "perfect" and "everything a kiss should be." Goals.

2. Luke Pell

Texas boy meet Texas girl. Texas boy and Texas girl fall in love. Texas boy and Texas girl live happily ever after in Texas. Ladies, he's a Southern style country boy who happens to be an Army Veteran. What could be any better than that? Jojo, you better keep him around for hometowns.

3. James T.

Not much I can say or find anything on good ole James T. Except he serenaded Jojo with his adorable smile, heavenly voice, and guitar. He probably won't last long, due to lack of interaction with the Bachelorette, but he's going to find himself surrounded by girls right away with those adorable dimples.

4. Chad

The Marine Corps veteran, he emerged onto the scene with luxury and style. As the night wore on, he showed his true colors: an egomaniac. Cocky and egotistical, he definitely made a bad impression on the rest of the guys in the house...but did he make a bad impression on Jojo? Looks like not, since he received a rose at the end of the night. We'll see how long he lasts. If he doesn't last long, and that's my prediction, he can come my way.

5. Wells

Oh, sweet Wells. Sweet radio DJ Wells. You're too sweet for this show. First, he brought a freaking singing group to serenade Jojo TWICE. If that's not goals I don't know what is. He definitely is worth sticking around but he's probably not going to make it to the final rounds.

6. Christian

THE DIMPLES. Lives in Los Angeles and works as a Telecom Consultant, this guy is looking for love, ready to settle down, all with Jojo. First, he rode up to the mansion in a motorcycle, already defying the standard limo that guys (and girls on the Bachelor) usually roll up in. Can Jojo and Christian be a thing? Is Jojo going to ride off with him on his motorcycle into the sunset? Hmmm, maybe. He's just going to have to stay so we can find out. And if he does not get a rose, he can come my way (along with Chad).

7. Grant

The firefighter. Who doesn't want a man who can save you any day, any night? He is the perfect hero in our eyes. He is ready for love and wants Jojo. He definitely made an impression on Jojo because he received a rose at the end of the night. Will he make it through? Maybe hometowns.

8. Nick S.

Nick, sweet Nick. I included him in this rank because he actually did graduate from Virginia Tech. He is an alumni of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He very rudely interrupted Jojo's personal interview (confessional), so it was no surprise when he was sent home. Sorry, Nick. You can come back to Tech anytime you want, though.

9. Derek

Not much I can say about Derek. He was quite boring at the mansion and didn't really say much, except, "you have a really good sense of self." Props.

10. Brandon

Hipster? Can we just take a moment?

11. Evan

When I first saw his introduction video at the beginning of the episode, I was honestly shocked, 33 is an age on this show that doesn't really work, considering Jojo is in her mid-twenties. Even if he does make it through several rounds, guys will be hitting him up for some medicine, if you know what I mean.

12. Daniel

Ah, Daniel. Damn, Daniel (can I say that?). With his introduction video at the beginning, and then his antics throughout the night, he definitely made an impression on me, Jojo, and the world. He is definitely the "standout" contestant. He is probably not going to make it with his inappropriate drunkenness but I predict producers are going to give him a slot on "Bachelor in Paradise."

Like I mentioned earlier, Jojo has some hard choices she has to make. Still heartbroken over her last episode on the Bachelor (still salty af, Ben), she is thrown into the arena of 25 guys and ultimately ready to find love with only one of them and not "pull a Ben". Tune in next Monday for more drama at the Bachelor mansion at 9/8 central. Get your wine and brackets ready, Bachelorette superfans. I'll be here documenting it all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
