Ah... Newark, Delaware in the winter. You may picture Main Street filled with beautiful, crisp white snow and students making snowmen on the green. Instead, Newark is filled with icy sidewalks and very small amounts of that white, fluffy stuff we know as snow. University of Delaware college students will do just about anything to brace Newark’s low temperatures during the wintertime. Especially UD’s female population, who are extremely dedicated to enjoying Newark even during its brutally cold winter season!
Here are just a few ways ladies can embrace Newark’s cold spell.
1. Dance the night away.
Share a hot cocoa by the fire, or sharing body heat in a sweaty basement.
2. Frackets on frackets.
Going out during the winter would not be complete without your most treasured fracket (n. frat-jacket).
3. Iced coffee.
Even on the coldest day a little DD caramel iced coffee can warm you up.
4. Wedged booties.
Forget about slipping on ice, your legs will look great in this cold weather accessory.
5. Scarves.
Treat yo'self to a cream infinity scarf and stay warm this winter.
6. Knee socks.
High knee socks are always a yes.
7. Snuggle.
Snuggle up to your pillow, boyfriend, or even your cat!
8. Grin and bear it.
Try and enjoy the cold. Smiles are contagious!
Winter is the most wonderful time of the year! Although, we may not be walking in a winter wonderland, women are still able to make the most of the frigid temperatures. You can wear your favorite black booties along with a cozy, chunky scarf while holding a caramel iced latte.
We ladies are not that basic. We are simply trying to look good while staying warm!
