Over the past few years, my life has consisted of attending local shows and watching small town bands convey their passion on the stage. On June 15, I watched a band whom I had never heard of before that night tear up the stage and prove to their fans that they love creating music. That band's name is Time Atlas.
Time Atlas is a pop/rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota comprised of five members: Grayson DeWolfe, Josh Bening, Kristoff Druva, Adam Feuring and Aaron Gates. Each member brings something different to the table, and that's what makes this band so unique. The band formed when lead singer, Grayson, was pursuing his solo career with the other members as his live band. After playing shows within their hometown, the band decided to continue their musical career under the name Time Atlas.
Shortly after taking on their name, the boys began writing and recording their debut EP "Clarity," which was released on June 30, 2015. The release of their EP was so successful that it landed them a spot on the "It's So Much Friendlier With" tour alongside fellow musicians The Millenium, Marina City and An Honest Year. The boys didn't stop there though. Once they came off of tour, they began writing new material. A short year later, the boys jumped on "The Sleepless Summer" tour with The Millenium, Walkney and Royal Street. Since that tour has ended, Time Atlas announced that they will be releasing a new single. You can expect to hear "Scarlett Fever" on August 16.
Passion, hard work and dedication are just three of the qualities that a band needs to posses in order to succeed in their music careers. When looking at Time Atlas, there is no denying that this band posses all three of those qualities. I was absolutely blown away when I saw these boys live. They brought so much energy to the stage that they made an instant fan out of me that night.
Not only are they passionate about their music but they are also passionate about their fans. There is no denying that these boys are grateful for the people who are supporting them. After their set, the boys walked around the crowd mingling with old and new fans to show their appreciation for them.
The boys in Time Atlas are making a name for themselves and you definitely won't want to miss where they are heading. If you ever get the chance to attend a Time Atlas show, do it! You won't regret it.
Make sure you check out Time Atlas and their EP "Clarity" on iTunes, and keep an eye out for "Scarlett Fever" later this month!
