Pennsylvania has seen it's fair share of artists, but there are none quite like Cedar Green. Hailing from Bethlehem, PA., this alternative rock band is truly one to remember. The band is comprised of five guys, Joey Volpe, Ryan Holzer, Alex Grosser, Harley Butz, and Mickey Fernandez. Each member brings a different aspect to the band, which helped them become the talented musicians that they are today. From their captivating vocals to their catchy music, this band is making a name for themselves.

They formed in September 2013 and have been making music ever since. One of the unique things about them is their name. On their website, they explain where they came up with the idea to call themselves Cedar Green. It came from a concept of the Native Americans. When a disease would hit their tribes, the Native Americans would strip the back of Cedar trees and use that as medicine to rid their tribe of the sickness. Cedar trees were a symbol of second chances, and that's exactly what this band wants to be.

"We want to be that second chance and try to be as important as the Cedar Tree to our music scene." - Cedar Green

When it comes to second chances for their music scene, this band is definitely achieving their goal. In April 2016, the band released an EP titled "The One You Feed." There are many different elements incorporated into the record that truly shows their talent and hard work. The six-song EP not only showcases the talent the boys have, but also lives up to their desire of being a second chance for their music scene. They are taking their music and making an impact on the scene.

The best thing about this band, besides their music, of course, is that they love to interact with their fans. They are constantly communicating with new and old fans through their Twitter. They treat their fans as if they were friends of theirs which show how they're trying to make an impact through other actions along with their music.

If you haven't checked this band out, you're going to want to. There is no doubt in my mind that this band is going places, and I can't wait to follow their journey.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
