With football season in full swing, the big question on everyone's minds is: Who is going to the Superbowl? Chiefs fans all across the Midwest and even across the country have set their hopes high on this season and with good reason. We have a star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes who really knows how to lead his team. We have Travis Kelce, who is one of the starting tight ends for the Chiefs, has had over 30 touchdowns in his football career with the Chiefs. The hype around the Chiefs has been built up for this season however, there have already been several injuries that may or may not break the season for the Chiefs.

The first real season game the Chiefs had against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mahomes showed signs of a hurt left ankle. Since then, he's been having trouble with it on the field. Last Sunday, Mahomes started limping after a play. On Wednesday, October 9th, Mahomes declared that he will be well enough this past Sunday against the Texans. However, last Thursday night, Mahomes was injured in the game against the Denver Broncos. During a sneak play, Mahomes suffered a knee dislocation injury and was removed from the field immediately.

Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver for the Chiefs, has been out since the opening game against the Jaguars. Hill played against the Texans on Sunday, October 13th and although he played efficiently, it was not enough to pull out a win against them.

With two losses now, Chiefs fans are wondering if it is only downhill from here.

There are couple small issues that have ultimately been the demise of their performances these last couple of games. The defensive line needs to be able to stop a play. In general, the defensive line has looked very weak from the beginning. During the game against the Broncos, Mahomes was injured and the Chiefs had to bring in their backup quarterback, Matt Moore.

After bringing in Matt Moore, the defensive line showed signs of improvement and it resulted in a victory for the Chiefs that night. This is a great sign for the Chiefs because with the star quarterback being out for at least three weeks, they need to get better in other aspects of their team with an emphasis on the defense. Many people believe that Mahomes being out for several games will actually be good thing for the team.

Only time will tell if the Chiefs will be able to pull through and keep winning more games. The upcoming game against the Packers will be a tough one especially if Mahomes is still out. It may be a difficult road ahead, but not impossible. Everyone just needs to keep their head in the game and focus on improvements and there will be success. Don't count the Chiefs out just yet!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
