On the day of April 20th, 2018, I took a stand for what I believed in. I saw that kids were dying on the schools of our nations and thought to myself, why haven't our lawmakers made a change for these laws. Does the NRA really care more about their profits over our lives and futures as children? So I decided to take matters into my own hands and make a difference in my life. One of my best friends, Binayak Pandey, organized a walkout and rally for kids in high school and people of any age to protest against the government who has failed to take action for the youth of our once proud nation. Every other country has had only one or no mass shootings for them to have change in gun laws. Why is it that our country can't seem to make this type of change? Are our congressman and lawmakers so obsessed with money that they put a price on our lives? I will not stand with this and I will fight for the lives of my fellow students until the goal of our problem has been achieved.
