Being a college student can be hard, I understand your pain. There are some ways that you can make some things less painful. Sometimes when you get to a new school it can be hard to adjust, adding some apps to your phone that are resourceful and fun can make all the difference. Here are some aps that every college student should have on their phone.

1.) Duolingo

This is an app that can help you learn another language. Even if you don't have to take a different language for your major, you can always use this app to learn another language anyways. You can learn spanish, german, french, italian, irish, portuguese, dutch, danish, swedish, turkish, norwegian, ukrainian, russian, polish, welsh, hebrew, vietnamese and hungarian. I'm sure that there's a language on this app that you would like to learn. It's easy to use and easy to learn a new language.

2.) Calculator

I know on the iphone the phone comes with a calculator app and I'm sure other phones do too. Do not get rid of this app. Even if you think that it's annoying and takes up space on your phone, keep it. You never know when you are going to need it. Especially if you're in math class and your actual calculator dies, you will always have a back up.

3.) Tapingo

I'm not sure if every college has this app but mine does and it is a life saver. Basically its an app that has a list of all of the food places on your campus and near your campus and you can order your food from your phone. You can also either pick it up or have it delivered. It usually only takes 5 minutes and then your food is ready. It's really great for on the go as well.

4.) LinkedIn

You need this app, or at least make an account. This is crucial for potential job offers. On LinkedIn other people can view your profile and your profile is pretty much your resume. You can read articles and find your friends to link up to. You can add your work and education and an email for others to contact you. It's a good app to have especially for in the future.

5.) Email

Always check your email about 2-4 times a day, you never know what might be emailed to you. If you don't check your email you might not know that your class is cancelled or a job that you applied to responded or a peer in your class is asking for notes that they missed. Basically check your email so you don't miss anything.

6.) Plant Nanny

This one might sound funny but it's important for your health. It's an app that you can use to track how much water you need to drink in a day. It's a simple, easy way to stay healthy. You start out with a baby plant and the water you drink is the water that goes to the plant. If you don't drink water, your plant will die. Sometimes it's hard to remember to drink water so this is an easy way to remember.

7.) Block! Hexa

Obviously everyone needs a game on their phone and this one also uses some brain power. You are given different shapes and you have to fit the shapes into a giant shape, it's like a puzzle. There are a ton of levels so it'll take you awhile to run out. It's a great app to use when you're bored before class or in your dorm watching tv, or anytime really.

8.) GroupMe

This is another very important app to have. You can contact a lot of different people at once. For instance I have a group for my Odyssey community, my field hockey team and for a club I'm in, Love Your Melon. You can also individually message people if you have a question about a class or if you can't make a meeting. It's a great way to communicate.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
