Earlier this week, Apple had one of its many keynote press events where the company offers consumers an idea of what is to come in the following months. Since the event lasted most of the day, and some of us have essays to write, I've created a list of the five biggest things that the last keynote had to offer.
1. iOS 9.
Here comes the newest iOS update and it's bringing a bunch of features such as a smarter Siri, multitasking for iPads, some built-in app changes, intelligent searches, faster loading, and a new Apple to Android migration tool. For the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, "3D Touch/Force Touch" will also allow pressure sensitivity on the phone. It's the little things in life we will be appreciating. These will make a lot of our daily tasks faster, simpler, and just more aesthetically pleasing. iOS 9 will be available for download on Sept. 16, and the Beta is currently still available on Apple's website.
2. iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus definitely lacked the type of improvement as previous generations of the phone have offered. Some of the changes include rose gold as a color option, upgraded front and back cameras (but really, can it take a great selfie), and larger displays. You can also make your own gifs and the phone itself will make up for those without steady hands -- your photos won't blur as often. The best part of this is you can ask grandma to take a photo for you, and not worry about getting something blurry back, though there still is not an update that will teach her how to use your phone. The phones are available for pre-order now, and will be available on Sept. 25.3. Apple watches are partnering with Hermes.
Hermes is a high end fashion company and they are partnering with Apple to make a new stylish Apple watch collection. The general idea is to have nice hand stitched leather and designer looking clock faces. These new, more sophisticated and stylish watches are advertised to be available in October.
4. iPad Pro.
Alongside the new iPhones, Apple has also created the iPad Pro. It will be the largest tablet on the market measuring up to 12.9 inches, as well as supporting an Apple keyboard and pen to increase the experience. Some might say it's a Microsoft Surface on steroids. Many of the features of iOS 9 are amplified on the iPad -- users will finally be able to watch a YouTube video while browsing through emails, can preview emails with 3D touch, and many other features. This new iPad will be available in November.
5. Apple TV will now support Siri and a touch remote.
The new model of Apple TVs will come with the voice options everyone has come to love on their phone: Siri. Alongside Siri, Apple TVs will also include a new touch capable remote that makes app and game usage much more seamless for the Apple TV. The new model will be available sometime this October.
