It's time to take advantage of Odyssey's fictional options now. Without further ado, my first poem on my ideal gift:
If any present I could pick
But could not see nor feel
Nor touch nor smell nor lick
I would choose the gift to heal
In our world there's too much hurt
The sting of words thought and said
Breaks, bruises, and scrapes from dirt
Leave marks on skin and in your head
Whether pain comes from a broken bone
With friends and family you can cope
Or words said in a malicious tone
Keep your head up, don't ever lose hope
To soothe the fears
Conquer notions of doubt
Eliminate late night tears
Let happiness break out
If there's anything I can do
To heal a broken soul
With intentions good and true
Relief I wish to dole
What better gift can someone give
Than relief from all and any pain
What better type of of life to live
Just think of all the joy to gain
Oh all that I ask of you
A wish to grant, good for all
Is a simple task, easy to do
A cure for heartbreak or a fall
You see, it's not just for me
Selfish gain is not the goal
A gift for all I meet and see
My dream is to make the world whole
