On July 13, Donald Trump once again took to Twitter to express to the general public what an idiot he is. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made a statement about Trump, calling him “inconsistent” and stating she “couldn’t imagine what this country would be ”if he was elected president." He responded by attacking the 83-year-old justice on Twitter.

Implying that her mind is shot because of her age is a bold statement coming from a 70-year-old man.

Are you going to apologize to Justice Ginsburg for being an asshole on the internet?

And here's where he attacked the entire SCOTUS. Nice.

Incompetent judge? Replace her with real opinions? Her mind is shot? Shame on you, Trump. That’s no way to talk to a sweet little lady who happens to also be a total badass. For anybody who may not know much about her, let me tell you guys just a few of the incredible things RBG has accomplished thus far in her lifetime.

  1. She graduated top of her class at Cornell in 1954, a time when most women didn’t even attend college.
  2. After marrying her dear husband Marty, she had her first child and then got into Harvard Law School.
  3. She was one of eight female students in a class of 500. These eight women were chided by the dean for “taking the places of qualified males.” In response, RBG excelled academically and became the first female member of the Harvard Law Review.
  4. Then she transferred to Columbia and became a member of its law review as well, because why stop at two Ivy League schools?
  5. She graduated first in her class there, too.
  6. In 1972, she became Columbia’s first tenured female professor.
  7. President Bill Clinton appointed her to the Supreme Court in 1993. Senate confirmed her, 96 to 3.
  8. In 1996, RBG wrote SCOTUS’s landmark decision in United States v. Virginia, stating that Virginia Military Institute could not refuse to admit women.
  9. On June 26, 2015, she sided with the majority and the result was legalized same sex marriage in all 50 states.
  10. RBG is a firm believer in gender equality, human rights, and separation of church and state. As the second woman to ever grace the Supreme Court, she favors moderation. Although she is one of the more liberal judges on the court, she does not write anybody off for having opinions that differ from her own. Justice Scalia, known as one of the most notoriously conservative justices, was her very best friend before he passed away.

I could go on forever about all of the incredible things RBG has done, but that’s not my point here. How anybody could call such an accomplished, well-respected woman “incompentent” and insinuate that she’s got dementia is beyond disgraceful. Of course, she made comments about Trump first, but everything she said was the truth.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
