February, to begin with, is just an awkward month in general because of the whole leap year thing.
Once February 1 comes, thus begins the preparation for Valentine's Day.
Whether in a relationship or single, I have had the same mindset on the holiday of love friendship so here are my thoughts.
1. Celebrate your significant other every day, not just on Valentine's Day.
So many people choose Valentine's Day to be the one day of the year, besides your anniversary, to go above and beyond and express your love for your significant other. If truly love your partner then flood them gifts on good and bad days, holiday or not. Every day is the best day.
2. No Valentine? No problem!
If you think that Valentine's Day was just a holiday for people in relationships, then honey you are so wrong. Being single on a holiday based on love can get pretty lonely but who said you have to show love for a significant other? Show your love for your girls and celebrate Galentine's Day. Go see the new Fifty Shades of Grey movie or have girl's night!
3. The beginning and what should've been end of T Swift's acting career
In 2010 the world got experience Taylor Swift's first movie debut in the movie "Valentine's Day".Whether it was just her obnoxious character or her acting skills it was crudely entertaining. Aside from Taylor's acting, the movie was fun because it had celebrities that we all love including Patrick Dempsey, Anne Hathaway, Queen Latifah and George Lopez.
4. Cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate, oh my!
If you have a thing for baking or just like eating baked goods in general then Valentine's Day is your holiday. I have always loved having friends who enjoy baking heart-shaped cookies and putting them into gift bags filled with chocolate. The best part is that on February 15 all the candy is 50% off!
5. Last but not least, why do people get engaged on Valentine's Day?
One thing that I have always questioned is the fact that people get engaged on Valentine's Day and other big holidays such as Christmas. Personally I would rather prefer a proposal on a day where it is just the couple celebrating their love and relationship than the entire world.
