This week has been the best week of my life.
This past week I went to the beach with my boyfriend and his family, and friends that we know. Let me tell you, it was wonderful, almost indescribable. It felt like one of those trips that movies are made about where some things did not go completely to plan, but everything turned out for the better.
We got here around 3 p.m. the first day, it took us about seven to eight hours to get here. It was a long-anticipated drive but it was definitely worth it. After we got here we unloaded and went to the store, then we unpacked. And by that time our friends that we knew had gotten there and unpacked also. Then all of the teenagers decided to go out and get into the ocean to see what it was like. And it was so WARM, it was like stepping into pool water that first night. It was wonderful. The next day we spent it mainly at the beach; once we got up and ate we went to the beach and stayed in the ocean for most of the day. We also ate lunch and then back out for more fun!
I got so burnt the first full day that we were here (yikes!). But luckily after a few days that burn turned into a tan color. We had so much fun being in the water the first day, it was nice and warm and it was crystal clear. I loved it so much. The next day everyone was so burnt, so we decided to go out to the beach that morning to get in the ocean and enjoy it, but by that afternoon we were all so burnt that we decided to go to the harbor and see what it was like down there! They had this great soda shop where you could buy almost every flavor that you could think of! It was like being in a candy shop! And then there was this soap shop that was to die for, it had any kind of soap that you could think of. While we ate dinner that night there was a Mardi Gras parade and we got beads if we screamed loud enough. Safe to say that my group that was outside eating all got at least two bead necklaces. The rest of the days we just spent going to the beach most of the day and then just hanging out and having a lot of fun. I got super burnt the first and last days I was here, which to me makes no sense but oh well!
This trip has been so much fun, I loved it so much. I got to spend it will great people and I had a great time. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Time goes by too quickly to not enjoy times like these. Trips to the beach are unforgettable.
I do not want to leave. It has been great. I will never forget this week. I hope to take many more trips just like this one!
