Whenever I talk about my best friends, just know that there is never anyone who ranks above you. You have been there for me from the beginning. When people talk about their “day one” or their “ride or die” I think they forget about their parents. Because you honestly have put me above yourself with everything you have done since the day I was born. I am so unbelievably grateful. There’s no way I can possibly thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me; however, this is my attempt at expressing my gratitude.
I’ve done a lot to hurt you. I have done a lot to destroy the bond between us and to break your trust in me. Honestly, I am not quite sure how you have forgiven me for some of the things I have done. All I know is that I am so unbelievably grateful that you have. Despite all of my mistakes, you love me, and you do your best to trust me. I have said and done things to you that would destroy any friendship. I guess it is true when they say blood runs thicker than water, but I think it’s more than that. I think your love for me is so beautiful and so pure that you would die for me. I really believe that. And I hope you know I worship the very ground you walk on, even if I do not seem to behave as if that is true at times.
I hope you know that you are my greatest role model, my biggest inspiration, and most of all, my absolute best friend. I trust you with every thing and I would not have it any other way. I miss spending so much time with you now that I do not live at home, but I look forward to the future and what it holds.
I treasure every second we spend together. Although I do not miss the days being a teenager, I do miss spending a lot of time with you. I look forward to my breaks when I get to come home and see you.
I hope with all my heart that you will one day know how much I treasure our relationship. I have not done a good job in the past expressing this to you, nor have I done a very good job of demonstrating through my actions how important it is to me. Please just know that despite my behavior, I love you and I value our friendship with all my heart. I wish I could express to you how important you are to me.
