An Open Letter To The Guy I Love

It takes awhile sometimes to figure things out; the lows stay low for longer than what seems eternity, but I promise it has all been worth it. Many people don’t get to experience this, but I promise I appreciate every day of it. Every day of laughs, FaceTime dates, or even just a cute text. I think the beauty of true love today is that many people learn to embrace the challenges. This is an open letter to the guy I love, because I promise to take every challenge and just learn to love you more. This is an open letter to the guy I love, the guy I’ve always loved, and the guy I know I will love forever.

I Will Never Give Up On You

Hey, we’ve made it this far. I will never give up on you; I will never give up on us. We have been through more than anyone I know together, and I already feel the unbreakable bond between us. It’s so true that if you never give up, anything is possible. I will never let anyone tell me ever again whether or not you are right for me, because I know better than anyone else exactly what I love about you and I know I don’t need validation from anyone. Your smile, your hugs, your kisses are just some of my favorite things and I would choose those for the rest of my life, any day.

I Accept You For You

I can still look back and remember all the little things about you that no one else would know. Your quirky hyper laugh, or your super highs, those are just a few of my favorite unique things about you. I think the most important thing about you, is that you are absolutely perfect to me. You have accepted me for everything that I am, and every mistake I have made, and that is something I always want to do for you.

I Love You

The days apart are some of the hardest days of my life, but it’s all worth it in the end to end up back into your arms after a long week, weeks, or month. There is no one else on this Earth I would trade you for, and I know and pray that you are apart of God's final plan for me. Your family, your friends, and most of all you are so perfect for me. I think the best thing about mutually falling in love with someone is that no matter how hard it gets, you know you’re never going to fall. I promise, as you have for me to catch you every time. Even if that catch is two hours away. I promise, guy I love, that I am here.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
