To the friends that got me through college:
I don't know where I'd be without you. You've made the sometimes-terrifying college experience manageable. You've made coming into school something I looked forward to, even on exam days. You've been the best part of my college experience. And I want to thank you.
When I first came to college, I was scared because it was such a change from what I was used to. None of my friends from high school were going to be there. I would have to make all new friends, again. But then I found you. You accepted me into your group and made college less scary.
The coursework suddenly became less daunting because I had friends in my major that would do it with me. Every test, I knew I had someone to study with. You understood my stress, you knew my schedule, and you were the constant support I've needed for my academic success.
It's been wonderful sharing my college experience with you. Freak-outs, study sessions, and all the times we went out to eat have brought us close, and every day I'm glad that you were the ones that I got to spend my time with. I'm glad that being randomly placed into classes introduced me to you, the people who made college so enjoyable. You are the reason I made it through school in one piece. And I can never thank you enough.
I know each of you will be successful in your future endeavors. You've inspired me to get through school and to become a better person in the process. I can't wait to see what you will do for the rest of the world. The future holds great things for you outside of our current college situation.
So, my friends, we've laughed together, we've cried together -- and now it's time to walk the stage and get our diplomas together. I'm honored to be sitting with you at graduation. There is absolutely no one else I would rather have gone through the past four years with. You made it bearable, you made it fun, you made it memorable.
You made it the college experience I always hoped it would be.
In short, I can't imagine what college would have been like without you. So thanks again.
Keep in touch. I know you will.
Love, the friend who couldn't do it without you.
