Dear Class of 2018,
Our time is now.
With the Seniors finally leaving, the excitement and anticipation of the Junior class are arriving. It's hard not to think, "That's going to be me next year," while watching the seniors enjoy their bittersweet last days with lib dubs, senior pranks, senior week, prom, and so much more. But next year is our year. We made it through Junior year (barely) and now there's just one more year to make it really count. Here are some pieces of advice to make next year High School Musical 4 worthy.
1. Don't be afraid to be yourself.
If you haven't already shown your class your true self, now's the time to do so. This is your last chance to create an impression, so go out with a bang. Stop caring about what others think, and do what makes YOU happy. Focus on yourself and your happiness before you try to make others satisfied. It will help you create the friendships and memories that make senior year incredible.
2. Do everything.
Go to that party. Talk to that boy. Apply for that job. Do everything that you can these last 365 days. Go outside. Explore. Get to know people that you usually don't talk to. Leave your little bubble of comfort, and put yourself out there. Take risks, and live this last year of high school with no regrets.
3. Live in the moment.
Every second counts. Put your phone down and talk. Talk about real things - with real people! Stop worrying about your future. Don't dwell on your past regrets. Just be aware of the moment before it escapes from you.
4. Keep a journal.
You're going to want to remember every second of your senior year. The best way to do that is to jot down your thoughts or memories every day. Take a quick 5 minutes out of your busy schedule and write. Write anything. Trust me, you'll be thankful in the future when you get to look back at every detail of your senior year.
Sincerely,
Your fellow classmate
