Dear Spring Semester,
I'm officially back from break and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. I'm moved in, classes have just started, and I'm leaving my winter break slump behind. It's time to start another chapter of my life.
I have high expectations for you. Fall semester was great, but from past experience, spring is more fun. Last spring I had the time of my life, and I'm hoping for better now. This year is going to be a little bit different, however. Since last year, I've solidified my friend groups, and created a place and a name for myself at school.
So, spring semester, here's what I'm expecting out of you.
Good grades: Last semester was my best (so far), but I want this one to be better. I want the motivation I had last semester and to pull myself out of the winter slump. I need to quit procrastinating and schedule my time. Lastly, I want the time I need to get my work done and to have myself organized and put together.
Sleep: I want you to give me the rest I need to be able to function. All-nighters are not in my agenda this semester, since I realized after last year that sleep actually is important. Keep me from staying up til the early hours of the morning for no reason, and let naps be my new best friends.
Adventure: Let me go on spontaneous trips and late-night car rides with my friends. I love college, but spending day after day in the same building gets boring. Let me go to concerts and movies and random places I've never been before to make new memories.
New Friends: Though I love all the friends I have, it's refreshing to meet new people. I want to make connections with new people and add them to my circle of friends.
Athletics: All I'm asking for is improvement in my times and distances. I want to get stronger and help my team win. Let me be the fastest I've ever been this semester.
I'm not asking for much, so hopefully you can give me what I want and what I need this semester. Who knows, maybe you'll go down as my best semester thus far.
Be good to me,
Katy
